Independence with Morning Routines

We are becoming so independent!  We can follow the morning routines so well now!

Since everyone seems to enter the classroom all at once, it gets a little crowded.  This week I will be encouraging parents to make sure their child makes it to our class safely, then they can say "Goodbye" and let their Kinder follow the routines independently.  They will do fine!!  I will be ready to praise their independence  (and parents too!)

Talk to your child about each step of the morning routine.  You can even practice at home!

Library day

We had our first day of Library today!  Your child should have come home with a book.  They get to keep the book for a week and bring it back Monday to trade for another book!  

Also, a letter and new record sheet was sent home today for our million minute challenge. 

Check those backpacks!  

Here we are!

This is a picture of all but 2 of us!!  It's not easy getting 23 five year olds to all look at the same time! 

We worked hard this week!  We went to out first all school assembly and we were so awesome! 

I will be sending home an email with more information for you.  Please make sure and check backpacks daily.  Most work and mail will go home on Wednesdays, but sometimes things need to go home earlier.

Week 1 is complete!

We are wiped out!!  This is how we felt after our first week of Kindergarten!!!  

Gentle Start Tuesday

We did it! These smiling faces had their first day of Kindergarten today!  They learned about good choices, toured the school, and much more! 13 kiddos came today, and all of us will be together tomorrow for the first time! 

Gentle Start Monday

We did it!  12 kiddos in Room 4 attended their first day of Kindergarten today!! We were busy learning about good choices and getting to know places in our school. We also drew pictures of how we got ready for Kindergarten this morning.

Tomorrow, 13 more will do the same!  We will all be together as a class on Wednesday
